Tsum Valley, located northeast of Manaslu, is one of the newly prominent trekking areas. The Tsum Valley takes trekkers on a natural as well as a cultural trip to the valley of Tsum in the western region, Gorkha. This trek is an extended version of the Manaslu Circuit Trek, which can be taken as a combination of both treks as the Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek.
Our Tsum Valley with Manaslu Circuit Trek begins with a captivating drive through the greenery hills and the bank of the rivers to Machha Khola, around eight hours from Kathmandu. We continue the trek passing through rhododendron and pine forests that leads to Lokpa via Jagat. The trails cover the forests, terraced fields, and flowing Budhi Gandaki river. Then, we will leave the Manaslu trail and enter the Tsum, the hidden valley. Tsum valley is rich in Tibetan culture and tradition, which is the reward for the extended Manaslu trek. The path retains several prayer flags and mani walls. The towering snow peaks, monasteries, lifestyle of Tibetan cultural type, numerous waterfalls, and abundant flora and fauna are the major attraction of this trek. In this trek, we will visit the Mu Gompa monastery and Gumba Lungdang, and Ganesh Himal Base Camp. We walk through the Larke La Pass, Sama, Samdo, and a side trip to Rui La pass near the Tibet border and then conclude our trek by arriving at Dharapani. From Dharapani, we will either return to Kathmandu or drive to Pokhara.
