The picturesque Annapurna region trekking is a wonderful experience after completing the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. The rage of the journey is known well by the stunning mountain landscape, lovely hills covered in rhododendron trees, fresh mountain air, and friendly, welcoming settlements. 3 Days Poon Hill Trek Route

The starting point of our trek would be Pokhara, the famous tourist destination in Nepal. By way of Nayapul, we will head to Ghandruk. We will stop at Ghandruk for a while and then start trekking to Tadapani.

We will awaken on the second day to breathtaking views of Mount Machhapuchhre and Mount Annapurna. We'll trek to the village of Ghorepani, appreciating the various landscapes and mountains from the several points witnessed along the route.

On the third day, we will wake up early and head towards the Poon Hill viewpoint to watch the magnificent sunrise and the shining reflection on more than a dozen mountains seen from the Poon Hill viewpoint. The vantage point will serve the best among all the views we see on the trail. After adoring the incredible view shapes from Poon Hill, we will start descending and depart for Pokhara.

Poon Hill

Poon Hill is one of the most visited and popular viewpoints in Nepal. At an altitude of 3210 meters from sea level, it possesses breathtaking views of Ghorepani Village, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mardi Himal, and various other mountains. Poon Hill is a short hike from Pokhara and is preferred for sunrise views by the family and friends group.

Ghorepani Village

Ghorepani is a village inside the Annapurna Conservation Area that requires a permit. Ghorepani Poon hill is also famous for side trips apart from Annapurna Base Camp. Ghorepani used to be a resting point for the horses that transported goods for trade, but now the transportation facility has developed.

Views of the Mountains during Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

3 Days Poon Hill trek offers various mountain views from the route during the trail. The trail is full of mesmerizing vistas of more than a dozen mountains. Among them, Dhaulagiri (8167m), Dhampus peak (5244m), Nilgiri south (6839m), Nilgiri center (6840m), Annapurna 1 (8091m), Annapurna South 7219m, Himchuli 6441m, Mardi Himal (5553m), are the peaks of attraction.

Ghandruk 

Ghandruk represents the culture and tradition of the Gurung Community,e residing in the area for more than a century. In the past, most men used to have jobs in the military of different countries like Nepal, India, Great Britain, and even the US Army. The women used to take care of their homes, but they have been shifting to family business into the tourism industry. Local people's participation in Ghandruk to save and promote the Gurung Culture has promoted village tourism. They exhibit their customs, culture, modesty, and hospitality to tourists during their stay in the homestay.

The Ghandruk village is also called Stone Village and Konda in the regional tongue. The lovely stone staircase and the well-paved road will make the trekkers feel they are walking towards the way to heaven during the walk to Ghandruk.

We will depart from Pokhara and drive to Ghandruk. We will have our lunch at Ghandruk and head towards Tadapani, where we will spend the night. The Ghandruk to Tadapani trek takes you through picturesque landscapes in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Starting in Ghandruk, a charming village with traditional houses, you'll trek to Tadapani through lush forests and terraced fields. Along the way, you'll encounter stunning views of the Annapurna and Machapuchare mountains. The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is probably the riskless trek in terms of altitude sickness because of having only 3210 meters as its highest altitude.     Amazing trek with astonishing views

    Poonhill (3days)
