You will enjoy the tranquil and picturesque travel to Pokhara during this 10-day Annapurna Base Camp short trek via tourist bus. En route, you'll have the opportunity to admire Nepal's lush greenery and the Trisuli River meandering along the road.

Pokhara City is a serene tourist destination in Nepal. It is sometimes referred to as Nepal's vacation capital. Pokhara offers you magnificent mountain views that give you a taste of what you will see and encounter on your short trek to Annapurna Base Camp. During your short time in the city, you will be fortunate to see mountains like Annapurna, Machhapucchre, Dhaulagiri, and many more from the window of your hotel rooms. During our short trek to Annapurna Base Camp, we will pass through the Annapurna Conservation Area. Rich Gurung and Magar Culture

Natural beauty abounds in the Annapurna region. The peaceful coexistence of the small ethnic villages in the area enhances its natural beauty. We will stay in the Gurung and Magar villages along the way for a few nights and take advantage of their hospitality.

The route of the Annapurna Base Camp trek of 10 days is a traditional route. First, we will arrive at Pokhara, drive up to Siwai, and then hike to Chomrong. We will further hike to the Himalayas, Machhapuchhre Base Camp(MBC), and up to Annapurna Base Camp. On the return journey, we'll retrace our steps, passing through MBC and Himalaya Hotel before reaching Chhomrong and eventually returning to Pokhara.

Best Time for 10 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek

The Annapurna Base Camp trek is moderately challenging in terms of difficulty. The best periods for embarking on the Annapurna Base Camp trek, offering superb mountain views and a rewarding trekking experience, are from March through May and mid-September to mid-December. During these months, the trail will be blooming with vibrant rhododendrons, and the air will start to have a bit of a sharp cold to it.

For an outstanding Himalayan adventure, we prioritize seeking out superb weather conditions, portrayed by clear, sunny days and cold mornings and evenings, ensuring a reliable climate throughout the journey.

ABC Trek Comfort and Difficulty

The ABC Trek is one of the moderate treks in the Annapurna area. It will be a rocky walk in some parts of the Annapurna Base Camp Sanctuary trek, combining smoothly paved and rugged paths. While it's not overly challenging, there are some areas prone to landslides during the ABC hike. The ABC trekking region's temperature changes according to altitude. While temperatures at the Annapurna Base Camp might range from 5 to 10 degrees Celsius on average, temperatures at lower altitudes can range from 12 to 22 degrees Celsius. But during the monsoon and winter months, the climate may be incredibly unpredictable. 

Speaking of challenges, a sick individual might not be able to walk through the Annapurna region's ridges quickly. We do advise anyone who has asthma-related illnesses or any additional medical conditions to avoid choosing Annapurna as a trekking destination. Annapurna Base Camp Trek Permit

To embark on the 10-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek in Nepal, two essential permits are needed:

TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) permit: NPR 2000 per person

Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP): NPR 3000 per person

Note: Please note that Nepal Nirvana Trails will handle the application for these permits on behalf of trekkers to ensure all necessary paperwork is in order before commencing the trek. 

Food and drinking water during Annapurna Base Camp 10 days trek

The meal service and lodging offered throughout your hike to Annapurna Base Camp will be average. A warm lodge with twin-sharing rooms and often shared bathrooms can be found. Wi-Fi, hot showers, heated rooms, and private toilets are extra-cost extras. The meals offered are filling and full of the necessary nutrients your body requires to keep going on the walk, as well as vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients. 

At every stoppage, there are drinking water facilities. You will receive complimentary cold drinking water, but because we are ascending in altitude, you may have to pay a few rupees for hot water. The water won't contain any antibiotics or preservatives, but we suggest you carry purification tablets to drink safe water.

While the Annapurna Base Camp trek may not be the most strenuous trekking route out there, To ensure a safe and enjoyable journey, here are some key fitness tips:

  • Aim to gradually increase the duration and intensity of your workouts to increase cardiovascular endurance.
  • Strong legs are essential for tackling steep ascents and descents, while a strong core helps maintain balance and stability, especially on uneven terrain.
  • Regular stretching routines can enhance flexibility, reducing the risk of muscle strains and injuries during the trek.
  • Drink a lot of water to stay hydrated during trekking or hiking. 
  • Maintain a balanced diet rich in carbohydrates, proteins, and healthy fats. 
  • While trekking, maintain a steady and manageable pace. Listen to your body and take breaks as needed.

Additional Info: 

Since there won't be any ATMs in high-altitude areas, you should always carry additional cash just in case. The additional money will be useful for purchasing extra food for yourself, charging your electronics, and purchasing sovereigns as a keepsake of the excursion. Additionally, the tips you might want to give to the office staff, such as porters and guides, are not covered in your package, so having cash on hand is advisable.

Travel Insurance 

High-altitude trails like those leading to Annapurna Base Camp bring unexpected challenges and dangers. When you have travel insurance with you, you will be protected from the financial dangers that come with being a foreigner in a strange place and dealing with such threats. We highly recommend obtaining evacuation travel insurance, which covers helicopter rescue services for added peace of mind.

    Incredible and amazing experience

    This was an incredible trek, Dipak was a fantastic guide with so much knowledge and when we had to change route due to a knee injury he was so flexible and made all the plans seem so smooth. Many laughs and fun times were also had. Kumar also was our amazing and strong porter with such a gentlemanly helpfulness, both of these guys made our trip one to remember. KP has created an excellent and trustworthy company, such a friendly guy who made it so easy to plan our trek and cater to what we needed.
